BE BOLD

Bridging Oldfields Legacy and Destiny

The Challenge

In 2023, Oldfields School was given a remarkable opportunity when alumnae, past parents, faculty, and friends united to prevent its closure. By July, a new board and administration stepped in to take on financial and operational leadership, rebuilding the school from the ground up with no enrolled students or faculty. The 2023-2024 school year became a testament to the dedication of the administration, faculty, new parents, and a small but determined group of pioneering students. Today, Oldfields is creating a dynamic learning environment for 21st-century girls, honoring its founding principles while forging a meaningful path to the future.

The world needs the strong women that so many Oldfields girls have become. You can help ensure that this legacy continues.

BOLD: Bridging Oldfields Legacy and Destiny

To move forward, the trustees developed a Five-Year Plan with clear guiding principles to lead the School through this transition. As education evolves, Oldfields School is poised to redefine holistic, future-focused learning for young women.

The BOLD Campaign celebrates Oldfields School’s legacy of shaping strong, confident women. It serves as a bridge between tradition and innovation, focused on revitalizing our school and creating a dynamic, supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of today’s students.

Every Gift Matters

Every alumna, parent, family member and friend who believes in the magic of Oldfields can be a part of this campaign and make a difference.

Our goal is to raise at least $10 million in current-use funds. We are proud
to announce that we have received gifts from dedicated members of the
Oldfields family totaling $3.5 million as part of the BOLD Campaign. We need
your support to help us reach our remaining goal of $6.5 million.

The $10 million goal is as essential as it is ambitious. The future of Oldfields
depends on our fundraising success. To this end, we are asking you to make
a four-year financial commitment through the end of the BOLD Campaign.

Oldfields School is a special place because it is a refuge, a sanctuary, from much that is tough and hard-edged about this world; it is an ideal garden where girls can grow, learn, experiment, develop, and blossom - where they can experiment and take chances - and one day soon become the leaders and exemplars of this country who will greatly improve the state of our world.
