Founded in 1867, Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland, is an international all girls boarding and day school for grades 8 - 12. Our 140 acre campus is home to a close knit community rooted in tradition and focused on preparing young women for lives of purpose.

Title: English Teacher
Report: Dean of Academics
We are seeking a full-time, experienced English teacher to begin in mid-August 2026. The School is committed to teaching a population of diverse learners including multilingual learners. Therefore, the position requires a versatile teacher with experience in teaching literature, creative and analytical writing, language mechanics and vocabulary acquisition from the introductory level to the advanced/honors level. Applicants who are energetic, engaging and eager to inspire and support young women in a residential setting are best suited for this position.

Title: School Counselor
Report: Director of Student Life/Dean of Students
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced and student-centered part-time School Counselor to begin in mid-August 2026. This role requires an understanding of adolescent development, the unique social-emotional needs of girls and the dynamics of a residential school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide short-term individual and group counseling and crisis intervention
Facilitate small group sessions with students on topics that are relevant to the behavior and development of adolescent girls
Maintain appropriate documentation and confidential student records
Support orientation and programming for new and returning boarding and day students
Lead workshops for students, faculty and families
Partner with faculty, advisors and dorm parents to monitor student wellbeing
Serve as a member of the School’s Support and Wellness Team
Communicate with parents/guardians while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
Coordinate referrals to outside mental health professionals when long-term therapy is needed.
Other Required Duties:

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field
State licensure or eligibility for licensure
Experience working with adolescents (middle and/or high school)
Experience in a boarding school or residential setting preferred
Training in crisis assessment and intervention
Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
Demonstrate cultural competence and ability to work with diverse families

ITitle: Nurse/Health Center Coordinator
Report: Dean of Student Life
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Nurse/Health Center Coordinator to begin in August 2026. The Nurse/Health Center Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the School’s Health Center, providing comprehensive, student-centered healthcare to both boarding and day students while promoting a safe, healthy, and nurturing residential and academic environment.
The Nurse/Health Center Coordinator serves as the primary healthcare provider on campus, overseeing daily clinical operations, managing student health records, collaborating with families and faculty/staff, and promoting wellness education tailored to the unique developmental needs of teenage girls.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care for acute illnesses, minor injuries, and ongoing health concerns during the school day and designated on-call hours during the the 10-month school year
Administer medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and school policies
Oversee CMTs training and post training management of medication administration
Manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, severe allergies) and develop individualized care plans
Coordinate off-campus medical appointments and emergency care as needed
Maintain confidential and accurate student health records in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
Oversee daily operations of the Health Center
Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and inventory
Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies
Manage health forms, immunization records, and required documentation using Magnus
Develop and update health policies and emergency response protocols
Serve as liaison between families, healthcare providers, and school administration
Collaborate with Residential Life staff to support the health and well-being of boarding students
Read student admission files throughout the year and over the summer as needed
Support students experiencing homesickness, stress, sleep concerns, and other residential health issues
Educate boarding staff on health protocols and emergency procedures
Promote health education initiatives appropriate for adolescent girls, including but not limited to:
General health and reproductive wellness
Nutrition and body image
Stress management and mental health awareness
Sleep hygiene and healthy habits
Coordinate vaccination compliance and health screenings.
Develop wellness programming in collaboration with school counselors and athletics staff.
Respond to medical emergencies on campus
Maintain emergency response plans and first aid preparedness
Provide training for faculty and staff in CPR, first aid, and emergency health procedures
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirements apply)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
School nursing experience or experience working with adolescents strongly preferred
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience in a residential or boarding school setting is preferred
Ability to live on campus and be a visible and engaged presence in the life of the school
Knowledge of adolescent health, particularly issues affecting teenage girls
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students and families
Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with school leadership
Have a warm, approachable, and compassionate presence
Foster a supportive environment for girls’ growth and leadership.

Title: Director of Athletic Programming/Facilities Rentals
Report: Director of Finances and Administration
We are seeking an experienced full-time Director of Athletic Programming/Facilities Rentals to begin July 1, 2026. This 12-month position requires a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing, managing and building the School’s athletic program, auxiliary summer camp offerings, and facility rental program. This role ensures alignment with the School’s mission while maximizing the programming quality, community engagement and revenue generation.
Responsibilities:
Athletic Programming:
Develop and oversee comprehensive athletic programming that supports student development, wellness, and competitive excellence.
Align programming with league and independent school standards.
Design off-season training, clinics, and enrichment programs for students
Support recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of coaching staff for supplemental programs.
Summer Camps:
Create a robust portfolio of summer camps (sports, enrichment, and specialty programs).
Ensure female campers have a school tour and meet the Admissions Team
Work with day and residential camp directors to ensure competitive pricing, enrollment targets, and financial performance.
Ensure camp directors maintain compliance with safety standards while using facilities, sound health protocols, and provide signed contract and insurance requirements.
Partner with marketing and admissions teams to promote camps and drive enrollment growth.
Maintain high standards of customer service and communication with camps, sports leagues, retreat planners and entities such as our partners Manor Mill and Manor Mill Players
Coordinate carefully with food services to accommodate meals for day and residential camps
Facility Rentals:
Develop and manage a comprehensive facility rental program (gyms, fields, performance spaces, classrooms, art studios, dormitories).
Create pricing structures, contracts, and policies for external users.
Coordinate scheduling to balance school needs with external rentals.
Oversee rental logistics, staffing, security, and event support.
Cultivate community partnerships and long-term rental relationships.
Monitor revenue performance and identify growth opportunities.
Financial & Strategic Oversight:
Develop and manage operating budgets for athletic programming, camps, and rentals.
Establish revenue goals and growth strategies for auxiliary programs.
Track KPIs including enrollment, utilization rates, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Identify new program opportunities aligned with market demand and school capacity.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Work closely with Facilities, Business Office, Admissions, Marketing, Dining Services and Security teams.
Serve as a visible ambassador of the school within the broader community.
Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, professionalism, and student-centered excellence.
Ensure all programming reflects the mission and values of Oldfields
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Education, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in athletic administration, program development, or facility management
Demonstrated experience managing budgets and revenue-generating programs
Strong organizational and operational management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Experience in an independent or private school environment.
Experience with scheduling software systems and Google Suite Apps

Title: Dean of Student Life
Report: Head of School
We are looking for a Dean of Student Life, a full-time senior administrator to begin July 1, 2026. The Dean of Student Life creates a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports both boarding and day students. The Dean oversees student conduct, co-curricular programming, student leadership development, and the advisory program. They work collaboratively with faculty, advisors, residential staff, families, and students to cultivate a safe, engaging, and mission-aligned Oldfields experience.
General Responsibilities:
Lead disciplinary processes with fairness, consistency and an educational lens
Maintain accurate records of student disciplinary actions and communications
Provide leadership development opportunities tailored to adolescent girls
Work with Residential Life Coordinator to coordinate all residential programming, policies and community-building activities
Record daily attendance and absences
Oversee student government and clubs
Plan and supervise major student events (assemblies, traditions, spirit events, etc.)
Supervise and evaluate student life staff, including residential faculty/staff and advisors
Partner with counseling, health services and learning support to promote and support student well-being
Serve as a primary point of contact for families regarding student life matters
Communicate proactively and transparently with parents/guardians
Participate in admissions events and represent the student life program to prospective families
Serve on the Executive Administrative Team.
Assist in policy development and strategic planning for student life office
Manage student life budgets
Update School Handbooks
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and independent school best practices
Demonstrate a visible, approachable, and relationship-centered leadership style
Other Required Duties/Expectations:
Teach one/two classes and/or coach one/two seasons of sports
