Report: Dean of Admission
Oldfields School, an all-girls boarding and day school, grades 8-12, in beautiful northern Baltimore County, Maryland, is looking for an Admission Counselor. The Admission Counselor presents the School and its program to prospective families, recruiting domestic and international boarding and day students in grades eight through twelve. The Admission Counselor will maintain strong relationships with a wide range of constituents, including scholarship programs, secondary school placement professionals, faculty members, school administrators, students and their families working to identify admission markets and achieve success across the Oldfields admission effort. Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in all facets and phases of the admission process, including fielding inquiry calls, conducting on/off-campus candidate interviews, cultivating and stewarding relationships with prospective families through all phases of the inquiry to enrollment process.
- Engage in significant domestic travel for recruitment and other related admissions events.
- Read applications and make admission decision recommendations as a member of the Applicant Advisory Board.
- Organize and oversee the Student Ambassador Program (tour guides, representation at local admission events, student panels during campus events, outreach to prospective students, etc.).
- Organize and oversee the Parent Ambassador Program (representation at virtual events, fairs, and outreach to collect testimonies and connection with prospective families, etc.)
- Manage admission visit (campus and virtual) experiences by creating a detailed schedule, which could include, but is not limited to coordinating, delegating, and participating in individual appointments.
- Liaise with academics, arts, wellness, residential life, and athletic departments to ensure that prospective candidates and their families are connected to the appropriate faculty and administrators during the admission process.
- Support the Dean of Admission with educational consultant engagement.
- Maintain annual updating and reporting to various school associations and review sites - TABS, NAIS/DASL, NCGS, Niche, Boarding School Review, and Private School Review.
- In collaboration with the entire team, execute the vision for recruitment of students for the School.
- Work with the admission team to implement Admission and outreach events including: Open Houses, information sessions, target-area events, sponsored events, and others as developed.

Report: Dean of Admission
Oldfields School, an all-girls boarding and day school, grades 8-12, in beautiful northern Baltimore County, Maryland, is looking for an Admission Database Analyst. The Admission Database Analyst is an integral part of the Admission Office and oversees the practical and strategic aspects of the admission data by managing and enhancing current systems. Working closely with the Dean of Admission, the Admission Database Analyst maintains data collection of prospective students while identifying trends and generating reports to be utilized by different departments, such as the Business Office and Head of School’s Office. This individual will ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness throughout data management and analysis processes. The Admission Database Analyst will provide an awareness and understanding of the importance of an all-girls secondary school education, while helping to make the Oldfields learning community one in which diversity of thought and experience are represented. This position reports to the Dean of Admission.
This is a non-exempt, 12 month position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain records (current families, placements schools, consultants, prospective families) in Ravenna
- Produce bi-weekly enrollment reports (statistics on inquiries, applicants, interviews, visitors, missing application components, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge of current national trends in independent school admission and higher education admission trends
- Assist Dean of Admission with the Board Report, generating comprehensive enrollment data reports four times/year
- Track admission communication daily to ensure prospective families flow through the Admissions funnel
- Coordinate organization of all Admission application files (Oldfields application via Ravenna, SAO- Standard Application Online, scholarship program applications)
- Create and organize all Admission application records, track application checklist items ensuring that each admission officer is working with families to complete applications, and coordinate the application review process
- Facilitate reading of student files in Ravenna between the Admission Office, Academic Office, and Health Services Team
- Coordinate, generate, send, and process enrollment and re-enrollment contracts
- Coordinate tuition/deposits and tracking this communication between Admissions and the Business Office, daily
- Coordinate the movement of new student files between the Admission Office and Academic Office
- Serve as a contact to update family contact information and provide information to other departments as needed
- Coordinate Ravenna season rollover with the Dean of Admission to update all application materials for the new admission season
- Create queries within the database to provide reports and spreadsheets for the Admission Office and other departments
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Admission Office with other special events, such as Fall Family Weekend, Admission Open House and Registration, including any and all aspects from planning to communications to set-up, etc.

Report: Athletic Director
Oldfields School, an all girls’ international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for an experienced Athletic Trainer. This is a part-time, non-exempt 10-month position. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services for all students before, during and after practice times and all home games/contests
- Work closely with the Athletic Director for game day operations
- Establish a working relationship with the School's Health Services Department
- Maintain a relationship with IAAM athletic trainers by attending league meetings when possible, communicating after games/contests as necessary
- Maintain communication with other members of the health services team, parents and all other necessary parties in the event of an injury or illness
- Maintain adequate medical records on all injuries, illnesses and rehabilitation procedures, using Magnus Software Program
- Provide CPR and First Aid training to all members of the community and maintain certification records for all individuals
- In conjunction with the health services team, monitor annual physicals and other school health services requirements
- Establish open communication with the Athletic Director regarding athletic training supply and equipment needs
- Work with the safety team to develop comprehensive venues and condition specific emergency action plans

Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree
- Must be BOC certified and/or qualify for Maryland state athletic training licensure

- Knowledgeable about a large range of medical problems. Assessment and evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals is necessary

Report: Director of Development
Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for a Development Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The Development Assistant is responsible for updating and maintaining database records, processing gifts, and providing administrative assistance as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters, receipts, and other correspondence.
- Update and continually maintain database records including timely gift entry and acknowledgment; creation of mailing lists; changes to constituent records, creation of new records, and data entry.
- Prepare monthly fundraising reports and monthly and quarterly reconciliations with the Business Office.
- Assist in the production of fundraising metrics reports- compiling and organizing various statistics for both internal benchmarking and reports to the Board of Trustees.

This is a full-time, exempt position with an August 2022 start date. The ideal candidate will have experience developing programs and guiding students through the full college exploration, application, and matriculation process. This is an outstanding opportunity for a college counselor who seeks a broad degree of autonomy in college counseling, possesses a high degree of integrity, and holds a keen interest and deep commitment to the value of single-sex independent school education.
Description of Duties: The Director of College Counseling is responsible for coordinating and implementing the School’s college counseling program to educate and advise students and families about options beyond high school, the college search, standardized testing, applications, the college selection process, financial aid and scholarships, and summer programs. The Director of College Counseling also serves as Testing Coordinator and SSD Coordinator and typically teaches one class per year.
EDUCATIONAL COUNSELING:
- Serve as the primary resource for students and their parents/guardians throughout the college search, admissions, and application process. Meet/communicate regularly with student(s) and parents to explore and identify appropriate college or other post-graduation options. Monitor individual student progress throughout the college application process. Assist students in using college/career information as needed for post-high school planning.
- Work intensively with each student to develop an appropriate, individualized list to meet academic, social, athletic, religious, and/or financial needs. Serve as a resource for students, families, and advisors, regarding admission criteria and data.
- Invite Admissions Representatives to visit campus, schedule and advertise virtual and in-person visits, host representatives, and facilitate meetings and interviews with students.
- Assist students/families in scheduling campus visits and tours; practice interview skills and appropriate techniques with students.
- Guide students and families in utilizing Scoir (online college data management portal) for searches, applications, and teacher recommendation requests. Keep Scoir current, including adding new students/families and entering admission, scholarship, test score, and GPAs.
- Assist each student in generating their Common Application and/or Coalition Application accounts, and edit/proofread each application before it is sent to colleges.
- Ensure that students understand what is being asked in essay prompts and guide them through brainstorming, writing, and editing essays and supplemental writing pieces.
- Write a detailed, holistic recommendation for each member of the senior class and for any underclassman needing one for summer or other academic programs; coordinate faculty recommendations for applications. Facilitate teacher usage of Scoir for uploading these.
- Prepare, edit, and ensure that all school credentials and supplementary materials (transcripts, school profile, recommendation letters, Secondary School Report) are sent to colleges. Follow up with colleges when documents haven’t been attached to files in a timely fashion.
- Create reports on students’ progress on standardized testing, the college process, admissions outcomes, and scholarships for the Administrative Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.
- In conjunction with the Academic Resources Department, keep an accurate list of students whose Educational testing indicates a need for accommodations; communicate with parents regarding accommodations and obtain parental consent for submitting requests to testing agencies.
- Serve as the School’s testing coordinator and proctor exams for students with school-based accommodations (50% extra time/multiple-day testing, extended breaks, computer usage, a reader, or other accommodations above and beyond what is provided at a National Testing Site).
- Prepare the School’s annual School Profile for use with college applications, Admissions, reaccreditation, and on the school website.
- Manage the College Counseling Office budget.
- Develop Junior and Senior seminar programming for college planning and applications
Other Required Duties:
- Serve on weekend duty team rotations.
- Coach or lead athletic or co-curricular activities as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in a relevant field, M.A. preferred.

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for promoting the School’s mission, strategic goals, and institutional brand by integrating the School’s advancement efforts both internally throughout the organization and externally with the target audiences.
The Director of Marketing and Communications’ role includes researching the target audiences, shaping an engaging message, delivering the message, and assessing the results of the communication effort. They collaborate with the Head of School, Dean of Admission, and the Director of Development to shape and craft the School’s messages to ensure consistency and continuity. They are a key player in internal and external advancement, including direction of and creative oversight for institutional marketing, advertising, branding, and public relations. They will serve as the liaison to administrators, faculty, and staff in the messaging content, design, and distribution of all communications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Advancement Team in creation and execution of strategic marketing plan to support the School’s mission.
- Create content, provide copy writing for, and oversee design, proofing, and distribution of Advancement communications including, but not limited to:
- Print publications: Magazines, newsletters, annual report, and fund raising appeals
- Digital publications: newsletters, eblasts
- Website pages, news items, forms, and website portals

This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function. It is a full-time, exempt position with a July 2021 start date. Responsibilities:
- Enhance human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, and practices. This includes:
- Create administrative evaluation process;
- Research and recommend a Human Resources Information System;
- Recommend and assist in coordinating school-wide training programs for administrators, faculty, and staff;
- Establish a recruiting program that promotes a diverse community; and
- Provide human resources related professional development to Administration on such topics as proper implementation of school policies and documentation.

Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for a Learning Support Specialist. This is a full-time, exempt position with an August 2022 start date. The ideal candidate will be capable of potentially teaching one to two classes per year, as needed. Instructional Responsibilities:
The Learning Support Specialist works collaboratively with the Department Chair and other staff in the Learning Support Department, as well as teaching faculty and student advisors to provide one-on-one academic support and guidance to students in the School’s Academic Strategies Program.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Teach students study skills/strategies, test-taking skills, and time and materials management skills, in one-on-one, in small groups, or in Academic Support classes.
- Potentially teach 1-2 classes in area of expertise or Academic Support Classes.
- Review psycho-educational testing and assist in generating Oldfields Accommodation Plans (OAPs) for students. Review plans with students, parents and appropriate faculty.
- Communicate regularly with parents and student advisors about student goals and outcomes of student academic support sessions.
- Partner with faculty and staff to support student leaning in and out of the classroom.
- Under the direction of the Learning Support Department Chair, support the Department’s Academic Strategies Program, Peer Tutor Program, and professional development offerings.
- Actively engage and support the School’s commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community as defined by the School’s Diversity Statement and strategic plans and initiatives.
- Regularly attend department, faculty, and all-school meetings.
- Serve on the School’s weekend duty team rotations.
- Adhere to and assist in enforcing school policies and procedures.
- Promote the mission of the School.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Academics or Department Chair.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, School Counseling, or a closely related field. Further professional or graduate experience is preferred.
- Understanding of and desire to work with high school students.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity.
- A passion for creative expression with a willingness to inspire and support all kinds of learners.
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn G-Suite applications.
Other Potential Duties:
- Serve on weekend duty team rotations.
- Coach or lead athletic or co-curricular activities.

Report: Director of Academics

This is a full-time, exempt position with an August 2022 start date. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching varying levels of math classes, including AP Calculus A/B and B/C courses, as well as developing and teaching interdisciplinary courses. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced math teacher who seeks a broad degree of autonomy in course development, possesses a high degree of integrity, and holds a keen interest and deep commitment to the value of single-sex independent school education. Experienced candidates may also be considered for the Math & Science Department Chair role.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Teach up to five classes per semester. This includes teaching core and elective courses, including AP courses. The candidate will teach primarily math courses, but strong candidates will demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for developing future courses that expand and strengthen the School’s science, technology, engineering and math curriculum.
- Actively engage and support the School’s commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community as defined by the School’s Diversity Statement and strategic plans and initiatives.
- Develop and lead weekend, winter term, and May Program experiential learning activities and programs. Winter Term and May Program are one and two-week annual experiential programs. These programs range from on-campus offerings to international travel programs.
- Maintain regular communication about student academic progress with students, parents, advisors, the Math and Science Department Chair, and Director of Academics. This includes effective use of the School’s online learning management system.
- Adhere to and assist in enforcing all School policies and procedures.
- Promote the mission of the School.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Academics.
Other Required Duties:
- Serve as an advisor for 3-5 students and perform other duties supporting the School community.
- Serve on weekend and weekday duty team rotations.
- Coach or lead athletic or co-curricular activities.
Qualifications:
- B.A. in math or a related field is required.
