Professional development and networking were the purpose of the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS) conference held on Monday, October 31.
The majority of the Oldfields faculty attended the annual Baltimore conference, along with peers from 120 area private achools. Our faculty attended a wide variety of seminars and workshops focusing on teaching methods, curriculum ideas, and best practices.
"The opportunity to network with colleagues, and hear noted educators share their ideas, was extremely beneficial," said Helen Fitz, head of The Middle School.
The knowledge gained from this professional development day was brought back to Oldfields and will be integrated into the curriculum.
