MFA, Photographic and Electronic Media, Maryland Institute College of Art
Heather is a Baltimore-based interdisciplinary artist who exhibits nationally and internationally. She earned her bachelor's of art in photography, graphic design, and fine arts from Western Connecticut State University. In 2016, she received her master's of fine arts in photographic and electronic media at Maryland Institute College of Art with a certificate in the College Teaching of Art. After graduating, she was a resident artist at Mas Els Igols in Torrelles de Foix, Catalonia, Spain. While there, she continued her research in Spanish political photography and film and worked as a visiting critic and photography instructor in Barcelona. Since returning from her residency, she has taught and continues to teach graduate and undergraduate fine art courses at Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work takes form in photography and video, but she also works in coding, installation, printmaking, and needlework. In her spare time, Heather writes, bakes, travels, and volunteers with Baltimore organizations.
