Biography

Prior to landing her dream job at Oldfields, Alicia spent 16 years in marketing and sales for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company where she was able to apply and improve the marketing skills learned during her education at West Virginia University. After leaving the pharmaceutical industry, she became a marketing consultant for a web, media, and marketing firm located in Towson, MD. Alicia developed marketing plans for a wide variety of mid-size businesses and non-profits including responsibility for research, branding, targeting, and budget development. Her areas of expertise centered on healthcare and children's causes; two of her lifelong passions.

Alicia currently oversees the Oldfields website, social media, and all digital and print communications such as the Oldfields Magazine and the newsletters for the Admission and Development departments.

The Bowers family lives a mile off campus and includes her husband, Michael, and children, Grant, Kent, and Celia '17 who is a recent graduate of Oldfields.

Alicia is a certified trainer for the National Tourettes Syndrome Association and leads the North Baltimore Support Network. She enjoys anything outdoors and loves taking students kayaking or tubing on the nearby Gunpowder River.
