Oldfields Attends 5-Star Event at Fair Hill
Several of our student riders volunteered their time at the Maryland CCI 5-Star Event (one of only two in the U.S.) at Fair Hill, MD, this past weekend. It was a huge weekend of watching world-class riders, volunteering as cross country crossing guards, and helping in the Oldfields booth. (One of our alumni, Lana duPont Wright ’57, was instrumental in creating the course and in bringing CCI eventing to Fair Hill!) Additionally, Chloe Bates, our Assistant Stable Manager, was in charge of the credentials department for entire 5-Star Event and spent a week working on the show grounds preparing for riders, horses, and spectators and helping throughout the competition.
