Be seen. Be sure. Be you.
Student Life
School becomes home.
The family-like sense of warmth and welcoming that surrounds the Oldfields experience is unparalleled. This feeling exists because of our commitment to keep our community intentionally small, because we learn and live together, and because we share an unwavering caring for and kindness towards one another. We value each student's diverse individuality and encourage them to use their voices to help create the student experience. You are embraced as you are, because who you are “supposed” to be doesn’t exist here. The result is a shared, deep-rooted sense of belonging that makes our community a family and our campus a home.
This school comes with a built-in family.

Kindness is our culture. be a part of it.
We believe that a school where trust is intrinsic, kindness is inherent, and independent thinking is valued, provides the greatest opportunity for growth and achievement. We believe in beautiful surroundings, genuine friendships, and boundless futures. We believe that empathy has a place in how we live our lives. Most of all, we believe that when a girl is valued for who she is as much as for who she can become—her opportunities are limitless.

Wellness for the Whole Girl.
Educating and caring for the whole girl has always been at the core of the Oldfields experience. As far back as the 1870s, our founder, Anna Austen McCulloch, valued not only academic excellence, but emphasized the importance of our connections with each other, the world around us, and to our inner selves. As one of the first schools to institute athletics for girls, she also understood the link between a strong body and healthy mind. By its very nature, boarding school provides the unique opportunity to help girls be engaged, challenged, and inspired in all aspects of their being, creating healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
Because "doing" is essential.
