Physics Honors I

Physics Honors I is an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics course. It is a full-year course oriented to prepare students for the study of physics in college and the AP exam in Physics. This course explores topics such as Newtonian mechanics applied to linear, circular, and harmonic motion; work, energy, and power; mechanical waves and sound; and introductory, simple circuits in electricity. This course requires instructional time in hands-on laboratory work. Students practice solving problems, answering conceptual questions, and writing laboratory reports.
