AP Chemistry
AP Chemistry covers topics typically found in a first-year introductory college chemistry course. Topics covered include atomic and molecular structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, oxidation-reduction, thermo-chemistry, electronic structure of atoms, chemical bonding, gasses, liquids, and solids. The class format will include lectures, readings, laboratory exercises, problem sets, and exams that mirror the AP format. Laboratory experiments are used to illustrate theory. This course is content-heavy and challenges the participants to work both collectively as a class and independently as a college level student.
