Animal Science

Animal Science discusses the branch of life science that deals with animals and animal life. Students taking this course will be introduced to topics including, but not limited to: the origin of animal life, animal reproduction and development, classification of major phyla of animals, function of animals, and basic concepts of animal behavior and ecology. The content of this course will be covered through lecture, in-class practice, projects, hands-on activities ('labs'), and class discussions. This course aims to give students a better understanding and appreciation for the science involved in different animal industries as well as help each student develop skills that allow them to think critically.

Prerequisites: Biology
