AP World History: Modern (Grade 9)
AP World History: Modern, along with other goals, is designed to prepare students to pass the College Board's AP World History: Modern exam. The course covers world history from 1200 CE to the present. Students will engage with ambitious reading requirements and utilize historical analysis methods to develop historical thinking and reasoning skills such as comparison, causation, continuity, and change over time. Historical argumentation and argumentative writing are key areas of emphasis in the course. Course content is aligned with field trips offered through the History Department to a diverse range of historical sites and museums throughout the region.
