Finding Your Literary Voice
Students explore the theme of "search for self" by examining how a variety of literary forms illuminate the voice of human experience. They read anchor texts by William Shakespeare, Sophocles, Wes Moore, and Elie Wiesel, complemented by short stories, poems, nonfiction, and informational texts. Students demonstrate their understanding through creative and analytical writing opportunities, as well as projects that foster the development of the individual voice. Grammar and vocabulary exercises play a significant and important role in the course.
School student accounts will be debited at the start of the year for a Membean license.
