Coming of Age through Literature
While focusing on the theme of Coming of Age, students find meaning in their world through literature. Anchor texts, including a Shakespearean tragedy and a Greek epic, are accompanied by short stories, poems, nonfiction, and informational texts to enhance the understanding of literature. Students gain familiarity with the literary devices writers use and the voices they create. Grammar and vocabulary exercises play a significant and important role in the course. Students demonstrate their understanding through writing assignments and creative projects.
School student accounts will be debited at the start of the year for a Membean license.
