We could not be more proud of our seniors for the strong finish to the school year and their continued focus on academic excellence. All of their hard work paid off with an impressive list of colleges and universities vying for Oldfields' graduating class.

This year our girls were accepted at Bucknell University, College of William and Mary, University of California San Diego, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Michigan, American University, and the University of Richmond, just to name a few. (See the complete list below.)

Over 80 college reps visited our campus this school year (it would have been well over 100 if we had not moved to a remote community!) They repeatedly share with Director of College Counseling Marissa Margosian that Oldfields does an excellent job preparing our students for college. They see our girls as great students--independent, confident, mature, and ready for college, because of their Oldfields experience. And the proof is in the pudding!

“The young women I meet at Oldfields are bright and articulate. My conversations with them tell me how well prepared they are for college and their futures because of the opportunities they have had at Oldfields."
                                                                                         - Brenda Snyder, Rutgers University

“The students were confident, well-spoken, and asked really amazing questions. They were excited about learning about Furman and were so kind and thankful for my time on campus. Oldfields was one of the few visits I remember in great detail during travel! Absolutely wonderful!”
                                                                                        - Jillian Newton, Furman University

Our seniors earned nearly $900,000 per year in scholarship offers from colleges and universities. That is truly a testament to how hard they worked during their high school years and how well they presented themselves in their applications. They learned how to hold conversations with admissions representatives, how to interview, how to ask questions, how to self-advocate, and how to highlight their strengths throughout the process. We are so proud of the effort our girls put into their classes, portfolios, essays, and more. You should be, too!

We believe in every girl who comes to Oldfields. By the time they graduate, they believe in themselves. Obviously, so do the colleges and universities!

Great job, everyone! Keep those pictures of you in your college gear coming!
