Packing Lists

All students should bring basic school supplies.

Academics/Learning Support
Of course, one of the first priorities is being ready for class!  Bring whatever helps you get organized and work best, but the suggestions below will get you off to a good start:
  • A supply of masks, as they will be required for the first several weeks (and possibly beyond) indoors and outdoors if within 3 feet
  • Back pack
  • Pencil, pens, highlighters
  • Notebooks, folders, binders, loose leaf paper
  • Post-it notes, index cards
  • Markers (Sharpies are great for labeling belongings) and colored pencils.
  • Computer/device (Must be a tablet with a full-size keyboard, PC laptop, or a Mac laptop. Smartphones are not acceptable alternatives.)

Athletics
Depending on the sport you requested, below are the suggested items. Not sure if you want to make that level of commitment? Just talk to Athletic Director Gaby Davis about borrowing equipment so you can give something new a try.
  • Soccer: cleats, shin guards
  • Volleyball: knee pads, sneakers, black spandex shorts
  • Cross Country: running shoes
  • Dance: black leotard and black leggings required, ballet shoes and tights are a plus, but not required
  • Basketball: indoor basketball shoes
  • Indoor Track: running shoes, spikes are a plus, but not required
  • Lacrosse: stick, cleats, goggles, mouth guard
  • Badminton: racquet, sneakers
  • Softball: glove, cleats
Boarding
Of course you will want that favorite stuffed animal and twinkly lights to make the room your own, but here are some additional items that will be helpful:
  • Bed Items: regular twin sheets, blanket(s), pillow(s), comforter or bed covering, waterproof mattress cover
  • Bath Items: towels, washcloths, a robe, and personal toiletries and carrier
  • Miscellaneous: clothes hangers, laundry baskets, laundry detergent, desk lamp, alarm clock, fan (no air conditioning in the dorms), multiple outlet safety strip, hand vacuum like a Dustbuster, posters and decorations for walls, tacky tape, first aid kit, water bottle, zip lock bags, non-perishable snacks, a microwavable mug, plate, bowl, fork, spoon, and knife.
  • Mini-refrigerator (optional): All dorms have a kitchen area with a shared refrigerator, but if you want your own, it should be no larger than 3.1 cubic meters. Only one fridge of this size is permitted in each room.  If both roommates prefer to have their own refrigerator, they should be no larger than 1.9 cubic meters each.
