AmazonSmile is identical to Amazon! You shop, Amazon donates! All you have to do is type in "amazons" instead of "amazon," and it pops right up. It's easy! Just think how many things you buy on Amazon! At no cost to you whatsoever, you could be earning a donation for Oldfields from Amazon every time you shop. All you have to do is shop on the Amazon Smile website. Your account is already in place. Go to smile.amazon.com or just type amazons into your browser. Make Oldfields School your charity of choice, and every time you buy something, Amazon will donate .5% of the value your purchase to Oldfields!
Honors Courses and AP Exams on the Rise Oldfields offers the best of both worlds—the flexibility of an honors course combined with the ability to sit for the AP exam at the end of the year. This year we are proud to say we offered 14 honors courses and 38 students took a total of 64 AP exams, up from 27 students who took 59 exams last year! Congratulations, teachers and students, for all your hard work!
Visual and Performing Arts Bloom this Spring! Small School, Big Talent The talent and hard work of our faculty and students is never more evident than in springtime! The spring musical during Alumnae Weekend kicked off an artistic extravaganza! Once Upon This Island was chock-full of extraordinary singing, dancing, and acting. The production involved 35 of our students, including a dedicated stage crew, who turned the David Niven Theatre into a tropical island! If you did not have the privilege of attending (or even if you did!), you will want to enjoy the production by clicking here.
The Spring Dance Concert is always special because it features Senior Solos which are choreographed and performed by our graduating dancers. The student-led K-pop group, Dream Catchers, also a crowd pleaser, performed two intricate pieces. To view all the performances, click here.
If you have ever walked through the Art Gallery in Rodney, you know it is continuously filled with beautiful works created by our visual arts classes. This spring we had the opportunity to share our students' works with the external community at the Hereford Library along with 50 other Baltimore County students. Below are three of the pieces showcased.
