You've heard of the Return of the Jedi...this was the Return of the Browns! Willette Brown-Nevens '75 came back for two days to give a dressage clinic to our girls, and she brought her sister Dorrie Brown Maffiore '78 with her. The Browns' Oldfields family tradition doesn't stop there. Dorrie's daughter Amanda graduated in 2008. They were welcomed with open arms, and we can't wait for them to come back again!

Senior Class of 2019

The senior class celebrated 100 Nights to Graduation on February 28, 2019. The Class of 2019 decided they wanted to sit at one long table to represent their cohesion as a class. After a toast by Head of School David Perfield, the girls enjoyed a locally-sourced, exquisite meal prepared by our beloved Chef X and his staff.

Guest speakers, Emma Preston '14 and Ashley Whiteley '14, shared insights and advice on this, the fifth anniversary of their own 100 Nights. Ashley and Emma have remained best friends since their Oldfields days. They both stressed how their OS sisters are like no other relationships they have ever experienced. Emma graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, with a degree in music business and business administration. She is actively pursuing a career in modeling and acting. Ashley graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, with her bachelors of science in psychology. She landed her first job at Sheppard-Enoch Pratt Hospital in Baltimore as a mental health worker in the adolescent unit.

The evening concluded with a sumptuous chocolate fondue dessert at the Head's house while penning "Ten Year Prediction" letters. We can't wait until they return in 2029 to read them to each other!

Dotty Hordubay's 80th!

Dotty Hordubay, Past Faculty

Happy 80th Birthday to our very own Dotty Hordubay! Mrs. Hordubay taught at Oldfields from 1966-2000. She was an advisor and teacher to many. We love you, Dotty, and will be celebrating with you on April 20th.

Arts Day at Oldfields

The wonderful thing about Oldfields' Arts Days is they are designed to allow every student to explore her creative side regardless of skill level.

Morning Meeting began with a visual arts presentation showcasing the work completed in Term II. The talent show was full of crowd pleasers including songs in three different languages, a sing-a-long led by a faculty member, and the ever-popular K pop dancers, Dreamcatchers. The afternoon was spent in workshops that focused on sculpting. While one group created clay masks, the other group constructed a woven sculpture where each color of yarn represented a relationships in her life.

The best part of Arts Day is watching the girls encourage and support each other as they try new things.
