Interim Head of School Nancy S. Palmer P'12

Nancy S. Palmer P ’12 was thrilled to be named Interim Head of Oldfields School as of July 1, 2022. As a past parent and six-year board member, with the last two years as Board Chair, Nancy is uniquely and exceptionally qualified to oversee the general management of the School, providing the leadership to ensure a continuing high-quality student experience. 

Nancy shares, “I was honored to be asked to serve and am excited about the year ahead. l look forward to further strengthening the close-knit bonds that make the Oldfields Experience so special. I have always been committed to the School's mission and am glad to play a role in developing the strong, confident, and kind young leaders that our world needs now more than ever.”

Nancy recently retired from over 30 years as General Manager of Caves Valley Golf Club, a highlight of which included hosting the recent 2021 BMW Championship. Nancy is proud of her role in creating and managing the Caves Valley Golf Club Foundation. During her career, the Foundation provided over $1 million in scholarship grants to 90 caddies in the Greater Baltimore area. The Foundation is committed to making a difference for young people through the game of golf.

Prior to Club management, Nancy attained her CPA and worked in the Baltimore and Washington, DC, offices of Price Waterhouse for eight years. Past volunteer activities include serving a 15-year term on Towson University’s Board of Visitors, being a member of the Junior League of Baltimore from 1991-2000, and a board member for two of these years. Nancy also volunteered with the Lacrosse Foundation from 1983-1991 where she served as Treasurer from 1988-1991.

Nancy is a 1979 graduate of Towson University where she received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.  Ms. Palmer resides in Timonium, Maryland with her husband Frank “Jack”.  They have two children, Elisabeth (29) who graduated from Oldfields in 2012, and Morgan (25).
