Report: Athletic Director
Oldfields School, an all girls’ international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for an experienced Athletic Trainer. This is a part-time, non-exempt 10-month position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person with a high degree of integrity and a deep commitment to the value of a single sex independent school education.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services for all students before, during and after practice times and all home games/contests
- Work closely with the Athletic Director for game day operations
- Establish a working relationship with the School's Health Services Department
- Maintain a relationship with IAAM athletic trainers by attending league meetings when possible, communicating after games/contests as necessary
- Maintain communication with other members of the health services team, parents and all other necessary parties in the event of an injury or illness
- Maintain adequate medical records on all injuries, illnesses and rehabilitation procedures, using Magnus Software Program
- Provide CPR and First Aid training to all members of the community and maintain certification records for all individuals
- In conjunction with the health services team, monitor annual physicals and other school health services requirements
- Establish open communication with the Athletic Director regarding athletic training supply and equipment needs
- Work with the safety team to develop comprehensive venues and condition specific emergency action plans
- Adhere to and assist in enforcing all school policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree
- Must be BOC certified and/or qualify for Maryland state athletic training licensure
- Experience in independent schools is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledgeable about a large range of medical problems. Assessment and evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals is necessary
- Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines
- Thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively in high stress/pressure situations when talking to students, medical professionals, staff and families
- Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision
- Work is medium demand. Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects. Medium strength is required to position students for examination
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions

Report: Director of Facilities
Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for a Facilities Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Answer phone calls and e-mails, screen incoming mail, and assist with scheduling as needed. Use initiative in handling a wide variety of administrative support duties, including arranging, managing, and scheduling complex calendars, meetings, and presentations.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, travel expenses, and reimbursements.
- Assist Director with monitoring work orders and alerting the Community of scheduled maintenance activities and contractor work.
- Assist Director with purchasing and inventory management and the management of department shared-databases and records.
- Assist with events and participate in school activities.
- Actively engage and support the School’s commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community as defined by the School’s Diversity Statement and strategic plans and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of demonstrated, professional administrative experience.
- Previous experience ordering construction supplies and materials is helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal), mathematical skills, and discretion and sensitivity in working with confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Report: Head of School
Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for a Human Resources Generalist. This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function. It is a full-time exempt position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person with a high degree of integrity and the ability to structure the human resources function based on the needs of the School.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, and practices. This includes:
- Create administrative evaluation process;
- Research and recommend a Human Resources Information System;
- Recommend and assist in coordinating school-wide training programs for administrators, faculty, and staff;
- Establish a recruiting program that promotes a diverse community; and
- Provide human resources related professional development to Administration on such topics as proper implementation of school policies and documentation.
- Serve as a member of the Administrative Team.
- Support Department Managers in maintaining job descriptions for all positions.
- Perform exit interviews and analyze data to recommend changes to Administration.
- Oversight of Employee Handbook in collaboration with Administration and adhering to regulatory requirements and employment laws.
- Support Department Managers with employee relations, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations in conjunction with Head’s Office and Campus Safety.
- Maintain employee information in personnel files and employee data with third-party administrators in accordance with document retention policies and local, state, and federal law.
- Manage and coordinate all employee benefit plans (health, dental, vision, HSA, Life/AD&D, LTD, retirement, etc.) with third-party administrators and insurance brokers.
- Perform all benefit administration duties to include communication of all benefit information to employees, enrollment and changes, approval of invoices for payment, and required compliance and disclosure matters.
- Manage Benefits Committee for recommendations of benefit changes.
- Collaborate with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote an inclusive work environment based on consistent practices throughout the community.
- Forge strong connections and maintain open lines of communication with employees at all levels to maintain trust and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Assist Department Managers with all aspects of hiring process including posting of positions, candidate selection, and correspondence with candidates.
- Ensure compliance and maintain files of all employee, subcontractor, and volunteer background checks, driving record checks, and DOT medical certifications.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new employees.
- Respond to and assist with questions and concerns regarding benefits related matters
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the employment relationship.
- Process workers’ compensation claims with insurance and communicate expectations with employees and Department Managers.
- Respond accordingly to unemployment claims.
- Administer FMLA leave process and related paperwork.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of human resources experience.

Report: Director of Academic Strategies Program
Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, located in northern Baltimore County, seeks applicants for a Learning Support Specialist beginning in January 2023. This is a full-time, exempt position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional educator who possesses a high degree of integrity and holds a keen interest and deep commitment to the value of single-sex independent school education.
The Learning Support Specialist works collaboratively with other staff in the Academic Strategies Program as well as teaching faculty and advisors to provide academic support and guidance for students identified with specific learning challenges, as well as students who would benefit from academic coaching.
Responsibilities:
- Teach students study skills/strategies, test-taking skills, time and materials management skills, and math skills in one-on-one, in small groups, or in classes.
- Review psycho-educational testing and assist in generating student Oldfields Accommodation Plans (OAPs) as needed. Review plans with students, parents and appropriate faculty.
- Knowledgeable about Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Communicate regularly with parents and student advisors highlighting goals and outcomes of the student’s academic coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with the Academic Strategies Program Team and Health and Wellness Team to design and present professional development to faculty and staff.
- Communicate effectively with teachers to collaboratively meet students’ needs.
- Partner with the Academic Strategies Program Team to manage the in-house peer tutor program.
- Actively engage and support the School’s commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community as defined by the School’s Diversity Statement and strategic plans and initiatives.
- Regularly attend academic department and faculty meetings.
