Families who do not opt to purchase their laptop through our suggested vendor, DSR, or who already own a laptop:

• must have a unit that has all its software in the English language.
• must have a Windows-based operating system; Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business Edition or Windows Vista Ultimate Edition - not Home Edition or Home Premium Edition!
• must acquire a copy of Microsoft Office (version 2000 or higher; Standard, Student/Teacher, Student/Home or Professional).
• must have an Ethernet Network Interface Card.
• should acquire a service contract on parts & labor (a multi-year contact is highly recommended).
