History Department

History courses provide each student with a basic foundation in the social, economic, and political trends of the past and present.

Students are taught to critically examine primary and secondary sources, and to form their own conclusions. In doing so, they gain the historical perspective and method of inquiry necessary to become well-informed, active citizens.

The study of U.S. and world geography is integrated throughout the history curriculum.
