On Friday, April 27th the Varsity lacrosse team played against Our Lady of Mount Carmel in a game that honored Yeardley Reynolds Love. The team came together to honor her legacy by incorporating passionate, enthusiastic play and sportsmanship. Defender Asantewaah Ofosuhene showed how much she has improved this season and helped the team to maintain possession on ground balls and draw controls. Midfielders Ali Towne and Lilly Carroll worked tirelessly to keep the ball in our attacking end. Emily Brownawell continued her multi-goal game streak with help from Louise Chapman and Charlotte Mayer on attack. Not only did Oldfields win, 19-8, but they also enjoyed celebrating the One Love Foundation. Mt. Carmel and Oldfields wore special T-shirts and eye black to show their support of the Foundation and large numbers of the Oldfields community came to watch and join in the celebration. The team looks forward to more opportunities to bring awareness to this wonderful cause. The team will wrap up their regular season on Monday, April 30th against Catholic High School.
