Technology

Oldfields School is committed to maintaining a student-centered environment where learning is an active process and students have the flexibility to learn and grow at a pace that is comfortable for them.

Technology should support the needs of students and the curriculum, and it must be an integral part of the community for students to be adequately prepared for the challenges of the future. To accomplish this objective, all students, faculty, and staff must have appropriate access to technology.

Through the Technology Department, students receive on-going support for the software and hardware needed for the school’s curriculum.

Internet access is available throughout the campus and computers are available in the library for students to use.  Oldfields has also installed SMARTBoards in an initiative to further integrate technology into the curriculum. We now have ten SMARTBoard classrooms. These touch-sensitive whiteboards offer virtually unlimited learning opportunities for students and faculty.

In addition, Oldfields has completely redesigned its website to be more informative and interactive. This site provides students, faculty, parents and alumnae a variety of ways to be connected to the School. Further enhancements are anticipated as this site is continually upgraded.
