Parny to "Graduate" with the Class of 2017!

Those four daughters of hers are finally getting their dearest wish! Parny has made the decision to "graduate" with the Class of 2017 in our 150th year! Much as she will be missed when she goes, it's hard to be selfish knowing how long her family (including nine grandchildren!) has wanted her back in New England with all of them. We just know that wonderful new adventures are awaiting her back in her old stomping grounds (although we're not sure the real reason isn't so she can be closer to her beloved Patriots and Tom Brady…). Parny, we wish you all the very best! We'll never forget you or what you've done for Oldfields! Read more.

Jumping into Fall with

Fall Family Weekend

Sabina Peters '20, J.J. Stratmann '21, Keslie Tomlinson '99, Ridley, Phoebe Linstead '20

Every fall as the leaves begin to change, Oldfields welcomes family and friends for the School's Fall Family Weekend. This year's weekend, held on October 7- 8, had a great turnout! As always, the day began with Advisory and a spirited Morning Meeting, followed by parents attending classes with their daughters. Class periods were shortened, which allowed families to experience every class on the student's schedule. The girls loved showing their families around and introducing them to their teachers and friends. The Oldfields Parent Association outdid themselves this year with gorgeous fall decorations all over campus. Thanks to a picture perfect day, Oldfields never looked so beautiful and welcoming! The Fall Board Meetings

Lulu Laubenstein Good '72, Marney Babbitt '04,

Nancy Palmer P'12, Silly Repko '72, Ramsay Whitworth P'19

Oldfields is fortunate to have a Board of Trustees that is passionate about girls' education and willing to dedicate their time to serving the OS community and guiding the School to success. The Board of Trustees is comprised of 20 influential individuals, 11 of whom are Oldfields alumnae! The Board also includes Hawley Rogers, long time Oldfields Headmaster. The Board of Trustees visited campus for their annual fall meetings on

October 20-21.

During their visit, the Board attended a wonderful dinner at the Head of School's home, joined the girls for lunch in the Dining Hall, and attended the Senior Leadership Panel, where the girls thanked the Board of Trustees for giving their time to keep Oldfields great!

Invest in Girls Program Expands

Elizabeth O'Brien '17 and Virginia Carlile '17

Last year, thanks to the generosity of alumnae Glennie Reynolds Martin '59 and Wendy Goodyear Griswold '63, the 10th grade was treated to a special seminar program, Invest in Girls.

The goal was to teach high school girls financial concepts, expose them to female role models in the financial field, and introduce them to career paths in finance. The program was very well received by the girls!

For the 2016-2017 school year, Blair Bartol MacInnes '63 and Martha Fenwick Dewing '63 joined Glennie and Wendy in their generosity and the program was expanded so that it is now available for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders! These presentations and field trips are now incorporated into seminar time so that the girls get the most out of this fabulous opportunity!

Isn't it wonderful to think that some day your daughters may also be giving back to future generations of Oldfields girls!

150th Celebration

Silent Art Auction

Calling all art enthusiasts! Alumnae, please donate your works of art to the upcoming silent auction being held at the 150th Celebration on April 29, 2017. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Anna Austen McCulloch Endowment.  Please contact

Joan Jermakian for any questions regarding the silent art auction at 443-662-1018 or

The painting above is one of our first contributions to the 150th silent auction This was painted by Daisy Biddle Eiman, who graduated from OS in 1945. Daisy loved Oldfields, and was the May Queen that year. Daisy has been an artist all of her life and has worked in both watercolors and oils. Besides Oldfields, Daisy is an alumna of the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. While this was painted at a horse farm in Hollidaysburg, PA, it sure looks like the rolling horse country near OS!

We have also received pieces from Cabell Gorman '82,

Hilary Cooper '76, and Stuart Pitcher P'14, P'15! Click here to see examples of works by Cabell Gorman and Hilary Cooper.

Connecticut Gathering

Silly Repko '72,

To kick off our year of celebration, Silly Repko '72 and Lisa Wood Wright '84, generously hosted a beautiful luncheon at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich. Silly and Lisa went to great lengths to include Green and White decor and even a birthday cake for Oldfields!

The best thing about the Connecticut Gathering was that it was a fun event filled with laughter and positivity that  allowed our  busy alumnae the opportunity to  just be Oldfields girls again for a few hours!

Be sure to RSVP to our upcoming events. You won't want to miss them!
