Welcome, Alumnae!

Dear Oldfields Family,

Welcome to the first issue of the Green and White Gazette! Our online alumnae newsletter has been created because we think that you, like me, would like to know more about what is going on at Oldfields today. What do the girls do? What is the faculty like? What updates are being made on campus?

The Gazette will appear in your inbox monthly while school is in session. It will feature news from and about students, faculty, and sports teams. Have a question? The Gazette will try to find the answer for you. Want to write or suggest an article? Bring it on!

Bottom line...we alumnae are the foundation of Oldfields' past, and we hope the Gazette will help link us to our School's present and future.  Enjoy!

The videowas entertaining, informative, and helped us all to understand more clearly the vision of our founder. Continue reading.

Green and White Night

"Green and White Night defines Oldfields tradition for me. It sets the bar high for the level of excitement, comradery, and energy of the student body for the year. It is definitely one of my favorite parts of being the Athletic Director."

Keslie Tomlinson '99

Green and White Night is a long standing Oldfields tradition in which each "new girl" becomes an Oldfields girl. On September 26, 2016, this unique tradition was continued, as 67 new members of the Oldfields community were given their lifelong color of either Green or White. The excitement and anticipation of this revelation is fueled by the secrecy of the selection process. Only the Athletic Director, Keslie Tomlinson '99, and the team captains know the secret to placing a girl on the White Team or the Green Team, and they are sworn to secrecy!

Faculty Summer Achievements

One of the best perks of working at a school is you get summers off. Summer break is a time to rejuvenate with long days spent at the pool and nights filled with catching up on the latest Netflix series, right?

Well, not exactly…we found that many of our faculty and staff spend their leisure time exploring the same passions that make them the exceptional educators you know and love. Here are just a few folks who not only talk the talk, but walk the walk, when it comes to pursuing excellence and passing it on to our students!
