Katy, who received the Most Improved Rider Award for 2007-2008, explains why she loves riding at Oldfields...

Congratulations to Katy for earning enough points this spring and summer to qualify to compete in the Virginia Horse Show Association Children’s Medal Finals at the Lexington National Horse Show in August!  Katy has worked very hard, riding as many as 9 horses a day, preparing for this event and she is excited to compete in her first Medal Finals!

Also, she won all three of her children’s hunter classes at a horse show this past weekend and received the Children’s Hunter Championship for that division. Better still, she has done all of this riding an Oldfields School horse - it has been great to hear the OS name announced as a winner at many shows throughout Virginia and Maryland…way to go, Katy!
