Families may contact the Admission Office at anytime during the year to indicate interest in Oldfields.

September – December

  • Contact the Admission Office to schedule your campus tour and interview.
  • If you haven’t done so already, register to take either the SSAT or ISEE. If you had a WISC or Woodcock Johnson within the last 24 months, the full report must be submitted to the Admission Office and registration for the SSAT or ISEE is not required.

December

  • Begin filling out admission application.
  • If you are applying for financial aid, contact the Admission Office to get a financial aid application.

January

  • Confirm with your English and math teachers that they have sent in their letters of recommendation.
  • Confirm with your school counselor that he/she has sent in your official transcripts, including Maryland State Assessment scores (if you are a student in Maryland), and his/her School recommendation.
  • If applying for financial aid, parents should make an appointment to have taxes filed early.
  • If applying for financial aid, parents should complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) and mail to the School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) with a check for the proper amount.
  • Mail completed admission application to ensure it reaches the Admission Office by the February 1 deadline.

February 1

  • Admission application due.
  • Merit essay (if applicable) due.
  • Financial aid application (if applicable) due.

March 1

  • Letters will be mailed from the Admission Office notifying day student applicants of admission decisions.

March 10

  • Letters will be mailed from the Admission Office notifying boarding student applicants of admission decisions.
  • Financial aid awards (if applicable) mailed to admitted families.
  • Merit scholarship awards (if applicable) mailed to admitted applicants.

April 1

  • Reply date for accepted day students.
  • Enrollment contract and deposit due for accepted day students.

April 10

  • Reply date for accepted boarding students.
  • Enrollment contract and deposit due for accepted boarding students.

Applications are accepted year round as long as space is available.
